Then, They Came for Our . . .
MAHA’s manosphere targeted via more shoddy OA and preprint evidence
It’s probably difficult for ideologues to know when they’ve gone too far, especially when they’re shamelessly enabled by so many sycophants and opportunists. But RFK, Jr., may have finally jumped the shark with his specious claims attempting to tie autism prevalence to use of acetaminophen.
The claims alarm seniors dealing with the aches and pains of old age, now afraid to take an analgesic on rough days, despite it having served them well their entire lives. Moms and Dads are now unduly worried about giving their infants and toddlers pain relievers and fever reducers during teething or when dealing with colds and icks. Pregnant women are the biggest target, of course, and have been inundating pediatricians’ offices with questions and concerns.
This has made RFK, Jr., even less popular than he already was.
But now he’s playing with fire, claiming that circumcision can be implicated in autism diagnoses because boys who are circumcised often receive Tylenol to relieve the pain of the snip.
This means, of course, that now men have skin in the game.
