OMICS Persists in N. Carolina

Research misconduct, fraud, self-dealing, and predatory publishing circulates

In 2019, OMICS was fined $50.1 million by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for fraudulent publishing practices, a ruling that included an injunction. Appeals have done nothing but drag out the collections process. The ruling stands.

Recently, a reporter in North Carolina appears to have unearthed a surviving limb of OMICS — Allied Academies — still up to no good. The Carolina Journal is gathering up the facts.
